The 6 Best Filtered Showerheads of 2026
We put the most popular filtered handheld showerheads through months of real testing to find the ones that actually leave your skin and hair better. Here is how they ranked.
We judged these on the two things that decide whether a filter is worth it. Does it really clean the water that lands on your skin and hair, and does it hold a strong stream while it does. Looks mattered too, but only after those.
Here are the six best shower filters we found, ranked.
1. eskiin Handheld Showerhead
eskiin Handheld Showerhead (authentic, unfiltered)
Taking the top spot is the eskiin Handheld Showerhead, and the simplest way to describe it is the closest you can get to a whole-home water filtration system without tearing open a wall. A real home system runs into the thousands and needs a plumber. This gives you that same clean, filtered water right where it lands on your skin and hair, and you can hold it in your hand.
The filtering keeps up with anything we tested. Water runs through a two-stage setup, where the handle does the heavy lifting on the dissolved metals and bacteria with KDF, and the face polishes out the chlorine with calcium sulfite right before it reaches you. That works out to 98.7% of the chlorine and heavy metals blocked and pressure boosted 2.5x, in a wand you can actually move.
Because it lifts off the cradle, you can point the water exactly where you want it, which makes rinsing off and cleaning up far easier than a fixed head. It clips onto your shower hose or converts a fixed arm in about two minutes with no plumber. It is Dermatologist Recommended and third-party lab tested, built by a real brother and sister, Wes and Maddie St. Amand, not a faceless corporation, with orders that ship fast out of their Idaho warehouse. It carries the same 4.9-star average and 60-day guarantee as the rest of the lineup.
Simply put, the eskiin Handheld Showerhead is the one we recommend without hesitation.

AquaHomeGroup Filtered Shower Head (authentic, unfiltered)
In second is the AquaHomeGroup Filtered Shower Head, known for an all-in-one build that puts the head and the filter together. It does a solid job cutting chlorine and heavy metals, and it adds Vitamin C and E cartridges, which is a nice touch for skin and hair.
The trade-offs are pressure and looks. The stream comes out softer than we wanted, and the design is more practical than pretty. For what it costs you are paying a little more than you would expect. A strong filter overall, just not the full package.
3. Hello Klean Filtered Showerhead
Hello Klean Filtered Showerhead (authentic, unfiltered)
Hello Klean lands third with efficient filtration and a real focus on skin and hair. The design looks great in a modern bathroom, though some people would rather have a fixed mount. It cuts chlorine and other impurities well.
Where it splits opinion is the pressure and the size of the shower face. After all the buzz, a few of us felt it was a touch overhyped and wanted a more balanced stream. A good product, just not the one that wowed us.
4. Jolie Filtered Showerhead
Jolie Filtered Showerhead (authentic, unfiltered)
Fourth is the Jolie Filtered Showerhead, the stylish pick that gets a lot of attention, especially from paid influencers. The look is sleek and it does improve water quality, which helps skin and hair feel better over time.
The catch is the pressure, which drops more than we liked, and the shower face can be tricky to keep clean as hard water stains collect on it. Beautiful on the wall, a little weak in the shower. If aesthetics lead your list, it is still worth a look.
5. Canopy Filtered Shower Head
Canopy Filtered Shower Head (authentic, unfiltered)
Fifth is the Canopy Filtered Shower Head, a modern-looking option built for contemporary bathrooms. It filters out impurities decently, can leave skin and hair feeling a bit softer, and comes with optional aromatherapy pods in a few fragrances if you want to dress up the routine.
Like a few others here, the design comes at the cost of pressure, which may be a dealbreaker if you like a strong stream. A reasonable place to start if looks matter most, though there are stronger performers above it.
6. Afina A-01 Showerhead
Afina A-01 Showerhead (authentic, unfiltered)
Last on the list is the Afina A-01. It looks the part and the marketing is strong, so it is an easy one to get talked into.
In our own weeks with it, though, we saw very little change in the water or in how our skin and hair felt, and the filtration did not keep up with the others here. It can work as a starter filter if you just want to dip a toe in, but for the money we would put it last and spend a little more on something that actually moves the needle.
And our favorite is...
The eskiin Handheld Showerhead, by a clear margin. We love that it blocks 98.7% of the chlorine and heavy metals, boosts pressure 2.5x, and looks good doing it. Plus the 60-day guarantee means you can put it on your own shower and feel the difference for yourself.

Which one filters the best? How often do you change the filter, and is it easy to swap?
Reply
After testing them all I like the eskiin handheld showerhead best. It splits the filtering into two stages, so the handle does the metals and bacteria and the face takes out the chlorine right before it hits you. Refills run about $36 every couple of months, which is roughly 33 cents a day, and swapping it took me a minute.

How long does a shower filter usually last?

Most run around 60 to 90 days. It depends on your water quality, how many people use the shower, and how often. That is the average across the ones we tested.

A couple weeks with eskiin and my skin stopped feeling so tight after showers, and the pressure is way better than my old head. Wish I had switched sooner.
